My first photo exhibition !

I was recently approached by a local theater that also runs a gallery for artists and photographers to display and sell their work. The gallery manager was interested in my work having seen it on local Facebook pages and thought it would be a great fit for the gallery. After some thought an pricing up of the work i decided it would be a great opportunity to show the people of Louth my work. He created a poster for me, that will be sent out to their email list, other galleries around Lincolnshire and shared online to attract more interest to my display !

All of the photos were to be of Louth or the surrounding areas. I had many photos of Louth, but it was hard to pick some i would want to print and display, most of my effort went into photographing other places away from home. After a few hours of selecting, re editing and culling more images i ended on 15 that i would like to show, not all of Louth, but close enough. I tried to keep a good mixture of images and colours and subject which is hard in Louth being mainly a church or fields. Below are the 15 i picked !

With more pricing and deciding which were my favorites and which others might like more, i chose what size to print them, the best ones printed very large. I loaded all the photos to White Wall Lab and placed the order! I then had to find frames to match, with mounts in that were high quality but not too expensive i had to raise my sale price. I found a great frame online and the quality is great and meant i could keep the price low. The prints from White Wall Lab are amazing, i have used them before many times and its some of the highest quality printing i’ve seen, no expense spared! I spent hours and hours framing the prints, making them perfect and making sure there was no dust or dirt visible. Once finished they looked great, photographs always look better in print and a nice frame! This morning i took them down to the gallery and hung them all up with the help of the gallery manager and my girlfriend to chose the way they were displayed and i am very happy with the outcome!

I grabbed a few snaps on my phone of the finished display. I have the whole wall for the month to show off and hopefully sell some of my prints! The gallery is on a wall along side the theater cafe and entrance hall and has lots of people about to enjoy the art while they have a cup of tea and toast or a re waiting to enter one of the theaters many shows! I would love it if you would visit and enjoy me work in the gallery, if you are interested in visiting this is the website : https://louthriverheadtheatre.com/riverhead-gallery .
